The CoMA Contemporary Music Festival Summer School – the UK’s leading summer event for contemporary music – opens its doors for the last time from 20-26 July 2008 at Doncaster College's High Melton Campus. It offers a chance for everyone, from amateur musicians to students, teachers and professionals, to deepen their understanding of everything new in music today.

Summer School places are still available for a week of courses in playing, singing and composing, plus one-off workshops and concerts. Fees start from £240 with a range of accommodation options (including camping) to suit your budget.

Festival events include concerts given by leading professionals and a range of workshops enabling you to take part, not just sit in the audience! Day tickets are available for all concerts and workshops in a day.

2008 highlights include the performance of ‘Forest of Desires’, a new work for orchestra and by Michael Zev Gordon, Creating Music for Silent Film with composer Jean Hasse, composer workshop with The Smith Quartet, music theatre with soprano Loré Lixenberg and Contemporary Conducting with international conductor Odaline de la Martinez.

After 16 successful years, 2008 is the last CoMA Summer School so book now to make it into one big celebratory party!
