Enrolments are pouring in for the Jazzwise Summer School 2008, Europe’s biggest annual short jazz course that runs from 27 July to 1 August 2008 at Richmond Adult Community College, Parkshot Centre, Richmond TW9 2RE.

Directed by acclaimed jazz educator Jamey Aebersold, the Jazzwise course is the only jazz summer school in the world that employs an all-star faculty of experienced college-level educators drawn from both sides of the Atlantic. The 2008 faculty includes course director Jamey Aebersold (saxophones, piano); Jean Toussaint, Antonio Hart, Greg Fishman, Mike Tracy, Tony Woods, Denys Baptiste (saxophones); Corey Christiansen (guitar); Pat Harbison, Henry Lowther (trumpet); Mark Bassey (trombone); Phil DeGreg, Dan Haerle, Terry Seabrook (piano); Judy Niemack (voice); Stuart Hall (violin); John Goldsby, Dave Jones, Bob Sinicrope (bass), and Steve Davis (drums). Tutor biographies are available on the Jazzwise website.

The course caters for all levels and gives musicians a unique opportunity to gain confidence and performance experience in a friendly, structured environment.

Jazzwise is delighted that its association with Yamaha continues for a second year in 2008. Mike Ketley, Senior Director at Yamaha Music (UK), confirmed that Yamaha is offering earlybird concessions of £100, available to the first 50 applicants. These concessions have been going fast and you'll have to hurry if you want to snap up a remaining Earlybird concession. However, further concessions for students, educators, drummers, bassists and participants travelling over 200 miles are also available, which means that if you enrol early you could save up to £300! Yamaha will also be supplying a range of instruments as support throughout the summer school programme. To enrol call 020 8769 7725 or visit www.jazzwise.com.
