Music Manifesto Sings Up


Music education received a massive boost on 21 November 2007, when Education Secretary Ed Balls announced a £332m investment in choirs, orchestras, performances, new instruments and free music lessons. Part of this includes the Sing Up campaign, which aims to put singing back into every primary classroom.
The Music Manifesto had played a key role in bringing about today's announcements, which will benefit families when children get involved in music. "Every parent knows how much it means to their child to be involved in a school performance and the pride and inspiration it offers the whole family."
