Beat professional isolation:
join Yamaha Education Friends
One of the greatest challenges for music teachers and educators is professional isolation, a problem which Ofsted has highlighted.
Many music educators work separately from other music teaching colleagues or, as with those who work in a large school, have little or no time during the school day when they can speak to anyone about music teaching issues. If you are involved in music education in the UK or Ireland, whether you're a teacher, music leader, musician, orchestra, band or ensemble or an education body, it can be very difficult to stay on top of the rapid changes that UK music education is encountering.
Yamaha Education Friends offers free membership to all music educators based in the UK and the Republic of Ireland. It is a space where you can learn about and find resources relating to a range of Yamaha educational projects and activities, including jazz education, music technology, composing, contemporary classical music and group teaching. Manyof these themes appear in our music education magazine, YES.
Yamaha Education Friends is the place where you can have your say and get involved with some of these projects aand also connect with and swap ideas with other members of this community.
So become a member and get posting and sharing your ideas now. We look forward to meeting you at Yamaha Education Friends.
