Inspiring the next generation of musicians

At Yamaha we are passionate about music. This is why we want to encourage as many people as possible to experience the joys, challenges and rewards of making music.

One of the most exciting ways we can make a contribution to this is to support some of the UK's most gifted and talented musicians who are currently studying classical, jazz or rock in full-time music conservatoires and specialist music schools. We provide a number of scholarships for these emerging musical stars, which they can use to support further study or to help launch their careers as professional musicians.

Another way is that we collaborate in a broad range of educational activities with some of the most outstanding professional musicians, spanning the genres and the planet, who share our vision for inspiring younger musicians.

Our 'Yamaha More Music!' concept now puts all these activities in one place and will help us enhance the impact of our work with young musicians and teachers. While 'Yamaha More Music!' is still in its infancy, we have already begun to feature information here about some of the top artists we work with, about the new artists whose professional careers our scholarship programmes have helped to launch, some of the organisations we partner and, of course, some of the projects and activities we produce together under the 'Yamaha More Music!' banner.
