Welcome to Yamaha's Education Website

Yamaha Music UK's vision for music education is simply:

  1. To help engage more people in music making
  2. To support those who help others learn music - in whatever settings - to make it a life-enhancing experience for all concerned.

To help us work towards this we are engaged in a broad range of educational projects, activities and associations, in the UK and the Republic of Ireland. We work with conservatoires, universities, colleges, local music services and schools. We support and facilitate the educational work of some wonderful music organisations, education bodies and professional musicians, in genres ranging from jazz, classical, rock and world music. We love working with adults and children, with amateurs and professionals.

Up till now, it has been a bit of a secret, unless you are a teacher who subscribes to Yamaha's music education magazine, YES (Yamaha Education Supplement). So we thought it only fair to let the rest of the world in on our big secret: our passion and commitment to music education as a powerful way to change and enhance peoples lives.

This website contains a snapshot of some of our educational activities as well as music education news. Our aim is for all the projects we get involved in to provide inspiration and motivation.
